Model Eyes

Denali Vision specializes on high-precision model eye development and manufacturing. Our model eyes replicate the anatomical features of a real human eye, including the cornea, lens, and retina. Each component is crafted with precision to provide a realistic and comprehensive representation, making them an invaluable tool for educational, research and development purposes.

We offer different types of model eyes:

  • Standard Model Eye STDS001 is composed of a spherical cornea (of 8mm radius anterior cornea surface), 0.55 mm cornea thickness and roughly 23mm axial length.
  • Toric Model Eye TOR2D001 comes with a 2 Dioptor (2D) astigmatism built-in with a Toric Cornea.
  • Toric Model Eye TORIOL001 comes with a 2D Toric Cornea and a rotatable Toric IOL/Lens.

Our model eyes are validated for use with industry-leading devices like the Zeiss IOLMaster700 and Alcon Argos Biometers.

  • Model Eye - STDS001

    This is the standard version of model eyes we offer. It has a spherical cornea (with 8mm anterior surface radius, 0.55 mm cornea thickness and ~23mm axial length.

  • Toric Model Eye - TOR2D001

    This model eye replaces the standard spherical cornea of STDS001 with a 2 Dioptor Toric Cornea

  • Toric Model Eye with Rotational IOL

    This model eye comes with a 2D Toric Cornea and a rotatable Toric IOL/lens. The overall spherical aberration can be adjusted by rotating the Toric lens relative to the Toric Cornea.

  • Model Eye Sample

    The model eyes are designed for easy mounting to a testing fixture. The artificial cornea can be design as spherical or toric.

  • Keratometry & OCT

    High-precision cornea support keratometry measurement. OCT image shows the replicated anatomical features of the human eye.

  • OCT B-scan and A-line

    Both the B-scan and A-lineof the model eye imaging shows the anatomical features of the human eye, including the cornea, lens, and retina.

  • Test with IOLMaster 700

    A fixture is used to support the model eye, which is then imaged by Zeiss IOLMaster700.

  • Replicated Anatomical Structures

    Zeiss IOLMaster 700 images clearly show the replicated anatomical features of cornea, lens and retina.

  • High-precision Cornea Surface

    Support Keratometry and TK measurements and reading on Zeiss IOLMaster 700

  • The diameter of the cornea can be customized. A typical dimension is 8mm radius of the anterior surface of the cornea.

  • The opacity of the cornea can be customized
